🌹🎶 Lavender Love

A ramble through Hitchin Lavender

Purple-perfumed immersion: -
Potent blue-violet scent capsules spiral
Omnidirectional silver-green spokes,
As abseiling snails, nectar-soaked bees,
Fluttering butterflies and summer dresses
Dart in and out of stripy lanes,
Combing the heat-hazed horizon.
A vast pride of petal-maned sunflowers
Turn their golden eyes to the sun,
As a multitude of human faces 
Turn towards their flickering screens, 
Scissoring their lavender bundles,
To carry a little pocket of purple paradise 
Away with them to all ends of the earth.
